ONLINE EXCLUSIVE: Coaching community applies improvement science

Conjure up that feeling of excitement you get when you are going to a reunion of people you really enjoy but rarely get to see. You have a lot in common and find yourself saying, “If I lived closer to these people, or were fortunate enough to work with them on a regular basis, we would be great friends.” That sense of camaraderie, of being energized, is what we felt in April 2019 at the final meeting of the Vermont Instructional Coaching Community. The community began to take shape in summer 2018, when a cross-divisional team at the Vermont Agency of Education met to plan a year of working with coaches from across the state.
