Learning Forward has partnered with myPD Unplugged to launch an eight-part “Thought Leader” podcast series. The first episode is a conversation with Valeria Brown, a Learning Forward board member who is professional development manager at Teaching Tolerance and founder of #ClearTheAir, a body of educators who believe that community, learning, and dialogue are essential to personal and professional growth. In this episode, “Social Justice Teaching 101: Equity, Social Justice, and Implementing Anti-Biased Instruction in the Classroom,” Brown unpacks the implications of social justice teaching in public education. Other episodes feature Thomas Guskey, Jim Knight, Joellen Killion, Courtlandt Butts, Doug Reeves, Fred Brown, and Tracy Crow. Each episode includes a facilitation guide.
