Michael Hinojosa has held the position of superintendent/CEO of six public education systems, including two of the 25 largest school systems in the United States. He served two stints in the Dallas Independent School District, from 2005-2011 and from 2015-2022. He has received numerous awards and honors, including the Texas Association of School Boards’ Superintendent of the Year in 2002 and the Council of the Great City Schools’ Green-Garner Award in 2020. He currently serves as superintendent in residence for the Council of the Great City Schools and the Texas Urban Council.
