By Learning Forward
February 2026

In celebration of Public Schools Week, Feb. 23-27, 2026, Learning Forward premiered a new video about how professional learning is every educator’s super power. The video features a 6th-grade student engaging education leaders in conversation about their professional learning and why it’s vital to their students’ success. The interviews were filmed during Learning Forward’s 2025 Annual Conference. View the video at learnfwd.org/PSW26-video.

Public Schools Week is an annual celebration promoting the importance of public education and spotlighting success stories from K-12 schools nationwide. The theme of this year’s celebration is Building Stronger, Fairer, and More Resilient Public Education Systems.

The Learning First Alliance coordinates the week of activities in partnership with its member organizations, including Learning Forward. Each partner organization is sharing a new resource during the week on topics including boosting teaching and learning, strong leaders for strong schools, partnering with families and communities to power learning, and supporting and empowering educators. All of the resources are available on the website publicschoolproud.org.
