An essential, hands-on resource, this action guide helps partners external to school systems, such as technical assistance providers, regional centers, agency staff, vendors, university faculty, and others implement Standards for Professional Learning in meaningful, effective ways. Standards for Professional Learning describe the content, processes, and conditions for professional learning that leads to high-quality leading, teaching, and learning. This action guide describes the steps external partners can take to implement each of the 11 standards, and illustrates how to progress from entry-level implementation to ideal implementation. It includes tools to help partners plan first steps, reflect on current work, and coordinate their roles and responsibilities with those of other stakeholders in and outside of school systems. Designed to be used either individually or with a team, it is useful as a standalone resource or as a complement to other Standards for Professional Learning tools and resources.
