    ONLINE EXCLUSIVE: When going online is the only option

    In March, when concerns about the coronavirus pandemic led to the cancellation of conferences and professional learning events, a face-to-face professional learning series that I planned to co-facilitate was rescheduled to occur remotely via an online web conferencing platform. The change in the learning model caused me to rethink the design of the professional learning as well as my facilitation techniques. Could I use the same presentation online that I had planned to use face-to-face? Could I still include strategies such as role-playing, action planning, and reflection, which have been associated with high effect sizes when used during in-person learning?
