    Advocate for Title IIA funding

    Fall 2022 is sure to be busy on Capitol Hill, but don’t expect fast action on education appropriations. While the House Appropriations Committee passed a Labor, Health, Human Services and Education Appropriations bill, the full House may not vote on this bill until after the August recess. Meanwhile, the Senate Appropriations Committee has not made any progress toward moving its own version of the appropriations bill. Even if the House and Senate are prepared in September to negotiate a final compromise of funding for fiscal year 2023, it is likely that Congress will opt to pass a continuing resolution to keep the government functioning and defer final appropriations votes until after the November midterm elections.
