Peter Senge, an internationally recognized thought leader, defines a learning organization as a place “where people continually expand their capacity to create the results they truly desire, where new and expansive patterns of thinking are nurtured, where collective aspiration is set free, and where people are continually learning how to learn together” (Senge, 2006). Learning Forward is a learning organization committed to continuously searching for innovative strategies to advance its purpose and vision. This is demonstrated through Learning Forward’s recent update to its strategic plan, identifying three priority areas: leadership and practice, impact and accountability, and advocacy and policy.
