Tracey Giardina
Director and Instructor
Tracey Giardina is the director and instructor at Justin F. Kimball’s Academy of Engineering in Dallas and teaches engineering design and development, civil engineering and architecture, and introduction to engineering design. A former chemical engineering graduate from Prairie View A&M University, Giardina worked at Texaco, General Electric, and Celanese before transitioning to education. Giardina taught all levels of math and AP Chemistry for Clear Creek Independent School District. After teaching math for 14 years, Giardina jumped at the chance to share her engineering skills and knowledge with students through Project Lead The Way's curriculum. Giardina has spent her summers working for Eastfield College’s Dallas pre-engineering program, Southern Methodist University Upward Bound, and Dallas ISD as an internship supervisor. In her six years at Kimball, Giardina has been instrumental in the Academy of Engineering becoming Project Lead The Way certified and NAF distinguished as well as receiving 12 grants and being named 2018 Teacher of the Year.
