Leaders often spend significant time supporting the growth of others at the expense of their own professional learning needs. This webinar provides tips and strategies for leaders to focus on their own growth. See how leaders at the system and school levels exhibit courageous leadership, grounded in trust, in their work with individuals and teams, and gain strategies for realizing a personal leadership goal. Participants of this webinar will: Examine the elements of trustworthiness and how to use courage in leadership; Analyze your own leadership tendencies to determine if you are multiplying or diminishing your team; and Set a personal leadership goal and set a path for how to meet it.

Presenters
Martha Doennig leads professional learning for certificated teachers, grades preK-12, at Springfield (MO) Public Schools. She focuses on inspiring growth and increasing teacher capacity to meet the diverse needs of students.
Kathy Gross serves as a consultant for Learning Forward and is a training associate of Cognitive CoachingSM. Throughout her career, her work has focused on empowering teachers and leaders. During her 28 years of service in Springfield (MO) Public Schools, she served as director of professional learning, coordinator of teacher and leader development, coach to teachers new to the career, principal, assistant principal, and teacher.
Abdul-Rehman Issa joined the Los Angeles Education Partnership in November 2022. He previously served as an SEL and special education coordinator and an co-principal at APEX Academy in East Hollywood, and as assistant principal at Alliance College Ready Public School. He teaches in the Negotiation, Conflict Resolution and Peace-building and SLP programs at California State University-Dominguez Hills, and supports schools’ special education and restorative practices and justice needs.
