Director of Secondary and Instructional Technology at Johnson City Schools | + posts

David Timbs is the director of secondary and instructional technology for Johnson City Schools. Prior to joining Johnson City Schools in July 2015, he served as the executive director of instructional leadership at the Tennessee Department of Education in Nashville. He has also served as the assistant superintendent for teaching and learning for Sullivan County Schools (TN) as well as in teaching and administrative roles in Johnson County (TN). In his 29th year of education, Timbs was selected as the Tennessee Supervisor of the Year in 2008 and has served as an adjunct instructor at both East Tennessee State University and Milligan University.
