Seven leadership teams are participating in Learning Forward’s Leadership Team Institute 2025-26. They convened in person for the first time on July 28-29 outside of New York City. The participating teams hail from Baltimore City Schools (Maryland), Christina School District (Delaware), Delaware Department of Education, Putnam Northern Westchester BOCES (New York), Seaford School District (Delaware), Smyrna School District (Delaware), and Sussex Academy (Delaware). This new cohort will build on the success of last year’s cohort of seven leadership teams.
Leadership Team Institute is a national Learning Forward network driving local innovation by working with vertical-based leadership teams to build team capacity and effectiveness. Throughout the year, each team works on implementing solutions to a relevant problem of practice they have identified and creates an actionable professional learning plan aligned to their school or system’s strategic priorities. The work is accomplished through in-person convenings, virtual whole-group sessions, and customized coaching sessions.
