    Study examines teachers’ learning about technology integration

    Technology’s ubiquitous presence in schools is not new, but rapid advancements in technology capabilities have many educators looking for advice on effective and responsible use. Technology integration is both a focus of and a method for professional learning, as articulated in the Learning Designs standard of the Standards for Professional Learning (Learning Forward, 2022). That standard calls on professional learning designers and leaders to consider how technology can increase flexibility and personalization and expand the reach and depth of coaching, peer learning communities, observation and analysis, and other forms of high-quality educator learning. A recent study shows how “exposure to professional development” about technology is correlated with technology integration in the classroom, and sheds some light on the mechanisms through which it may be having
