Learning Forward board of trustees welcomes two new members

Two new trustees have been appointed to the Learning Forward Board of Trustees.
Vivian Mihalakis is deputy director of the K-12 Education division at the Gates Foundation and a former member of the PD Brain Trust. Jaime Aquino is superintendent of San Antonio Independent School District in San Antonio, Texas. Mihalakis and Aquino replace former members Ash Vasudeva and Carmen Concepción.
As of January 1, 2025, Linda Chen assumed the role of board chair and Denise Augustine the role of chair elect. Sue Sarber is the past chair.
Learning Forward is the only professional association devoted exclusively to those who work in educator professional development. We help our members plan, implement, and measure high-quality professional learning so they can achieve success with their systems, schools, and students.
