Katie Shuman
Curriculum Specialist
Katie Shuman is a curriculum specialist at CenterPoint where she manages the early literacy initiative for District 19 in Brooklyn, New York. Shuman works with the elementary schools in the district as they make a transition to a blended learning model. She also provides content and curriculum development and support in early literacy for school and district clients nationally. Shuman began her career as a reading specialist where she taught differentiated literacy instruction to elementary and middle school students. Most recently, Shuman served as director of literacy at a public charter network elementary school where she oversaw the school’s literacy program. Read full bio.
