Every year, certain articles from our journal, The Learning Professional, pique readers’ interests and rise to the top of their reading lists. This year, some of those favorite pieces touched on enduring topics, like “8 dimensions of wellness for educators,” from February 2021, “A promising path toward equity,” published in 2018, and the 2023 article, “Professional learning vs. PD: the distinction matters.”
At the end of each calendar year, we like to feature the top-read articles published during the past 12 months. In 2024, the issue garnering the most interest was, by far, our February issue on evaluating professional learning. Four of the top-read selections come from this issue, which contains updated information and tools to ensure your professional learning is working and document its impact.
Other topics of interest this past year reflected societal and educational trends, including integrating technology into coaching and closing digital divides, how professional learning is essential for shifting literacy practices to align with the science of reading, and the benefits of true curriculum-based professional learning.
