    Academy Class of 2025

    Learning Forward welcomed 60 members to the Learning Forward Academy Class of 2025. This group of educators, which includes 28 district leaders, 15 site-based leaders, and four external providers, begins its 2½-year intensive learning experience in July with a three-day convening in Louisville, Kentucky.

    Members of the class represent 21 suburban, 26 urban, and four rural school districts across the country. Two large educator teams add to the new cohort, including Fresno Unified School District in California with a team of six, and Community High School District 128 in Illinois with five participants. Also joining the group is 2021 Milken Educator Aubrey Flowers and two district leaders from Tulsa Public Schools in Oklahoma.

    Six Academy members received scholarships:

    • Learning Forward Foundation Academy Scholarship: Diana Whalen, North Brunswick Township Schools, North Brunswick, New Jersey;
    • Patsy Hochman Memorial Academy Scholarship: Heather Gaona, Keller Independent School District, Keller, Texas;
    • Stephanie Hirsh Academy Scholarship: Lisa Rodden-Perinka, Metro Nashville Public Schools, Nashville, Tennessee; Yesenia Morales, North Brunswick Township Schools, North Brunswick, New Jersey;
    • Sybil Yastrow Memorial Academy Scholarship: Amy Brown, Northern Valley Regional High School District, Allendale, New Jersey; Jill Kind, Osseo Area Schools, Maple Grove, Minnesota.
