Boston, MA –The Learning Forward 2025 Annual Conference is under way in Boston. With the organization’s latest annual international learning event for K-12 educators, Learning Forward celebrates 56 years of bringing together educators to share the latest innovations, research, and case studies of high-quality professional learning and its unmatched role in improving schools and equipping educators to meet the needs of all students. Learning Forward’s yearly event convenes thought leaders, experts, researchers, and other practitioners to collaboratively share the latest learnings, knowledge, and techniques. More than 2,400 educators are attending the four-day conference, participating in over 270 sessions on topics including AI in professional learning, the science of reading, curriculum-based professional learning, new-teacher mentoring, learning networks, instructional coaching, leadership, literacy, science, and mathematics.

Keynotes anchor morning sessions

This year’s keynote speakers are ready to kick off morning general sessions with exceptional insights about issues that are seeding profound change in education and require new strategies and alliances.

Cornelius Minor will give the opening keynote address on Monday, Dec. 8. During his presentation, “Keeping the Focus on Kids in Uncertain Times,”  Minor will describe meaningful ways of connecting with students that matter to their growth and development.

Shane Safir and Sawsan Jaber will address the conference audience on Tuesday, Dec. 9. Their presentation expands on their field experience, research, and recent book, Pedagogies of Voice: Street Data and the Path to Student Agency.

Dyane Smokorowski and Rob Dickson will address the conference audience on Wednesday, Dec. 10. Their presentation is “Making Learning Human in an AI World.” The two Wichita Public School leaders are national leaders in designing classroom experiences grounded in strong pedagogy and purposeful technology integration.

Conference attracts leadership and research teams

In addition to programming four days of active learning opportunities for conference attendees, the Learning Forward Annual Conference provides a supportive learning environment for group meetings. Learning Forward Academy, Leadership Team Institute 2025-26, RPPL, and Learning Forward’s Curriculum-Based Professional Learning Network are convening their current cohorts and networks at conference.
