A USA Today education story on diversity and equity training contains inaccuracies in its portrayal of Learning Forward and the efficacy of professional learning. Contrary to the story’s description, our organization does not provide such training to school districts.

At Learning Forward, we acknowledge the distinct needs of every student. Through our comprehensive professional learning initiatives and research-based assessment tools, we equip educators with the essential knowledge and insights required to create classroom systems and structures that accommodate these varying needs, ultimately ensuring academic success for each student.

Learning Forward strives to elevate the academic performance of each student by offering educators comprehensive, standards-based, professional learning crafted to provide teachers, school leaders, and education support staff with the essential tools and resources required to effectively meet the diverse needs of their students.

Unlike what is reported in USA Today, rigorous professional learning makes a significant difference in the classroom. Studies have shown the connection between effective professional learning and student achievement.
