Data Stories
Academy members engage in a 2.5-year learning journey focused on solving a meaningful problem of practice within their local context. Throughout the program, participants develop and refine a learning plan that documents their thinking, actions, and evidence over time. As the program concludes, participants bring this work together in a data story—a narrative that makes their improvement journey visible. Data stories highlight the context in which an Academy particpant's work occurred, the problem addressed, the strategies implemented, and the evidence of how the work influenced educator practice and system outcomes. These stories help others see not just what changed, but how and why those changes mattered.
TPOV
A Teachable Point of View (TPOV) helps Academy participants strengthen their ability to advocate for professional learning. A TPOV centers on clearly articulating “why”—why this work matters, why the problem is worth solving, and why others should care. It connects personal values to professional action and help leaders communicate the importance of sustained, high-quality professional learning as a driver for improved teaching and student achievement.
