Presenters
Quincy Natay is currently serving as the superintendent of the Chinle Unified School District. Since taking over as superintendent, Natay has launched strategic initiatives, and created systems that have resulted in alignment of district practices and resources with the goal of increasing student achievement. He has dedicated over 30 years of his professional career to improving educational opportunities for students. Natay grew up in Chinle and is a proud graduate of Chinle High School.
Denise Augustine is currently seconded to the Ministry of Education where she is leading professional learning for ministry staff and supporting school districts in addressing systemic barriers so that schools can better serve Indigenous learners. The challenges imposed through the response to COVID has made it even more important for educators to work together and listen deeply to the learners and families they serve.
Lisa Anderson has led a successful career in education for 32 years. She is currently an associate superintendent with the Yuma Union High School District in Yuma, Arizona. She began her professional educational career as a classroom teacher (middle and high school German) and high school counselor. Anderson’s campus administrative experiences include guidance director and assistant principal from 2005-09. In her non-stop quest to help children and remove barriers to learning, she has been instrumental in developing and implementing some of the programs and support services within Yuma Union High School District.
