As part of the Redesign PD Community of Practice, Denver Public Schools has created a new team of professionals to work across the district on improving the quality and impact of professional learning experiences for educators. Two school districts have joined the Redesign PD Community of Practice, bringing to 22 the number of school systems collaborating to improve professional learning systems and share their progress with districts across the country.
Washington DC Public Schools has received a lot of national attention for its human capital policies, and the results have been impressive. Their LEAP program promises to continue the progress of the teacher growth.
Bridgeport Public Schools in Connecticut and the Loudon County and Shelby County school districts in Tennessee have developed rubrics to better ensure that professional learning throughout their districts meets standards of high quality.
