Learning Forward calls for the release of Title II-A funds

    By Learning Forward
    June 2025
Learning Forward signed on to two letters to U.S. Secretary of Education Linda McMahon urging the timely allocation of Title II-A funds appropriated by Congress, which have been delayed. Letters dated May 27 and April 22 pointed out that school districts are currently finalizing their budgeting and staffing plans for the 2025-26 school year and have an urgent need for timely, reliable information about federal education funding. In the letters, Learning Forward and other leading education organizations wrote that Title II-A funds increase students’ access to highly qualified, effective educators by providing essential resources for teacher professional learning. Other organizations that signed the letters include the National Association of Elementary School Principals, the National Association of Secondary School Principals, and AASA, The School Superintendents Association.
