What educators can learn from equity officers in local government: ONLINE EXCLUSIVE

Founded more than a century ago as an organization for local government leaders, the International City/County Management Association (ICMA) has grown in many ways over its history. Of particular interest in recent years is our equity journey. With a focus on developing and equipping equity officers in the local government space, we have learned about the challenges of doing this work and the benefits of having a space to come together to share strategies and support — lessons that educators can apply to their work as many hire equity offcers and expand their equity work in other ways.
