Coaching with impact: Enacting partnership principles through the Jim Knight coaching model

Teachers and coaches can build trusting and effective relationships by collaborating as partners to help students achieve. In this 90-minute webinar, Jim Knight will share the partnership principles that form the foundation of his coaching model.

Offered in partnership with AIR, this webinar will highlight Knight’s Impact Cycle and Instructional Playbook and how they exemplify the partnership principles. Participants will learn about an opportunity to join a funded grant to implement this coaching model. An extended Q & A period will encourage robust discussion and in-depth answers to all participants’ questions.

Participants will:

  • Become familiar with the partnership principles;
  • Learn about The Impact Cycle and Instructional Playbook that are used in the coaching model;
  • Hear about a research project that they may be eligible to join; and
  • Be able to ask questions relevant to their own situations.

Managing Researcher at American Institutes for Research | + posts

Andrew Wayne, a managing researcher at AIR, is a researcher and policy expert on K-12 education. He leads projects to design, improve, scale, and test the impact of K-12 educational policies and programs, especially those focused on teachers and teaching. His current work is funded through grants from the U.S. Department of Education’s Educational Innovation and Research grants program and the Institute of Education Sciences. He has published in such journals as Educational Leadership, Educational Researcher, and Review of Educational Research.
