Improve student outcomes with a proven strengths-based coaching model developed at the University of Virginia. MyTeachingPartner Coaching Model (MTP) focuses on how teachers and students interact in the classroom. The MTP model has been proven to have a positive impact on strengthening instruction and increasing student engagement, and researchers found a reduction of racial disparities in disciplinary practices and fewer referrals for behavior.

This webinar will feature an expert panel followed by an extended Q&A period to encourage robust discussion.

Participants will:

  • Learn about the elements that make MTP coaching unique: a focus on classroom interactions, a strengths-based approach to engaging teachers, and use of video clips as a focus for reflection;
  • Learn about the research that shows MTP’s effectiveness in improving student outcomes and makes MTP an “evidence-based” program;
  • Develop an understanding of what strengths-based coaching really is and how it supports teachers’ growth and improved student outcomes; and
  • Have the opportunity to ask questions relevant to your own situation in an extended 90-minute format.

If you are interested to learn more about the MyTeachingPartner-Secondary Project, you can find detailed information at https://www.secondarycoaching.org/ or email the project team at: secondarycoachingproject@air.org. A new group of districts will begin implementation in fall 2021. There are slots still open for districts to join.
