Twitter chat: Coaching in a time of crisis
March 31 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
Instructional coaches are a trusted source of support for teachers and leaders, and that support is needed now more than ever.
Every educator is navigating uncharted territory due to the Coronavirus, with varying levels of readiness for distance learning and a heap of other questions about how to meet students’ multi-faceted needs.
Join us Tuesday, March 31 at 1:00 P.M. Eastern to discuss how instructional coaches can support educators – and take care of themselves – during this stressful time. This chat is based on an interview with Learning Forward senior consultants Eric Brooks, Heather Clifton, and Sharron Helmke.
We will be joined by Melissa Ellegood. Ellegood is currently the director of educational technologies/learning management system for the Yuma Union High School District. She oversees the use of technology as it applies to instruction and Canvas. Melissa collaborates with the instructional coaches both one-on-one and collectively and provides guidance on using Canvas as Yuma Union High School District moves to district-wide distance learning.
