Building Capacity and Growing Influence

Join your fellow affiliate leaders for two full days of learning designed to increase your capacity to design, lead and influence professional learning in your state or province, provide resources and strategies to share with your board and members, and build your professional network.

Friday, July 19 will be a full-day interactive discussion with Joellen Killion, focused on her new publication The Feedback Process: Transforming Professional Learning. Affiliate leaders will engage in discussions about the content and underlying research, implications for policy and strategies for affiliates to elevate the conversation about feedback in your own state or province.

Saturday, July 20 will be a full day of working and learning with the Learning Forward team including senior staff and consultants. Day 2 will also be a great chance to learn alongside colleagues from other affiliates through panels, discussions and workshops. This day will focus on affiliate operations and strategy, including a panel on the nuts and bolts of membership and events, an equity conversation and a hands-on advocacy workshop.
