Michele Shannon

National Designer and Facilitator

Michele Shannon is currently the national designer and facilitator at The Leadership Academy. She has a wide range of experiences as a classroom teacher, school social worker, school administrator, and district leader that inform the way she consults and supports school and district leaders across the country. Shannon had the great fortune of working at four incredibly progressive schools in the early part of her career and the foundational concepts put forth by Dewey and Freire still drive her approach to teaching, learning, and leadership development. She leverages her experience as a research practitioner in the Fresh Start for Families Program to collaboratively design and facilitate participant-centered program development.
