Melissa Spadin

Director, System of Supports

Melissa Spadin currently serves as the director, system of supports in the Learning and Leadership Division at the San Diego County Office of Education. In this role, she supports LEAs in continuous improvement around their LCAP development, MTSS, social-emotional learning implementation, assessment system and metric alignment, and differentiated assistance. Prior to this role, she was the coordinator of assessment, accountability, and evaluation at the San Diego County Office of Education, helping to improve assessment literacy across southern California. Before moving to San Diego, she was an assessment program specialist and NAEP state coordinator with the Division of Curriculum, Research, Assessment & Accountability at the Maryland State Department of Education and helped implement and sustain the Formative Assessment for Maryland Educators professional learning program.
