Joel Reynolds

Joel Reynolds is board administrator and senior executive assistant at Learning Forward. She advances Learning Forward’s vision and mission through her work as board administrator for the Learning Forward Board of Trustees where she maintains all corporate records, manages the logistics and planning for board meetings, and serves as liaison between board and Learning Forward staff. In her capacity as senior executive assistant, Reynolds performs administrative duties for President | CEO Denise Glyn Borders and executive and senior staff including maintaining calendars, arranging travel, and preparing corporate documentation, presentations and written communication. Additionally, Reynolds manages daily operations for the Dallas TX executive office, providing support to Human Resources, communicating and negotiating with vendors, and helping staff maintain efficient operations.  Reynolds came to Learning Forward in 2006 with a background in banking as assistant vice president and loan officer at a savings and loan, in contracts and real estate transactions as a legal secretary, and in education as a middle school teacher. She graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies from The University of Texas at Tyler TX. She is certified in K-8 education with specializations in English and speech. She taught for ten years prior to joining Learning Forward where she came to realize just how important professional learning is for training and retaining excellent teachers.
